About Julia Falkner - London
Originally hailing from mountainous Austria, Julia Falkner shifted her creative focus from journalism to photography after attending the Conde Nast college of fashion and design in London. The versatile creative direction and photography portfolio featuring fashion, documentary, art, advertising and e -commerce is an attest to Julia’s ability to translate her signature style to any brief.
The dream like, effervescent, and surrealist aesthetic in her pictures often intertwine and blur the lines between documentary and fashion. Using fashion as a tool for conceptualising compelling stories in line with the cultural Zeitgeist is the essence of her photography.
Besides talks and panel discussions in collaboration with Tate Modern and Apple her work has been exhibited at Vogue Photo Festival in Milan and Foam photography museum Amsterdam and featured internationally in various publications.
